If the State followed the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) to facilitate the process of updating the Jackson Demonstration State Forest Management Plan, ALL public comments would be publicly viewable and the State would have to answer each one substantively.
We created this database of public comments so we can hold the State accountable to what the public has said therein. This is an attempt to mirror what the State should be doing under CEQA.
Please note: we only have the public comments that people shared to us. We do not have everything that was submitted to CalFire, we demand that they publish them all as required under a CEQA process!
