About Save Jackson Demonstration State Forest

SaveJackson.org was created by people who use and love Jackson Demonstration State Forest. Jackson is our backyard, our neighbor, and an essential part of our lives. We love to walk and bike through its trails, forage for its many varieties of mushrooms, and camp under its incredibly tall trees. We believe that in this time of unprecedented climatic upheaval, California has a responsibility to manage our public lands for carbon sequestration, not timber profits. That means Calfire must stop cutting down our future and allow the forest to grow to its full potential. This website was created to serve as a hub for all folks who are interested in learning more about the fight to save Jackson Demonstration State Forest.
